Portable Compact Physiotherapy Table
1977. Conception,
design and construction of a novel collapsible
physiotherapy table for use with children suffering cystic fibrosis.
Licensed by Brownbuilt Australia and Roland Schwarz of Immenstadt
Germany. This table was the first of its type in the world. It was
lightweight and fitted into the boot of a car for use by parents with
children suffering cystic fibrosis. The table was capable of assuming a
range of positions and so was capable of delivering the full range of
treatment to stricken children without inconvenience to the therapist.
Appeared on ABC inventors. Awarded patents in major industrialised
countries. Design licensed by Brownbuilt Australia and Roland Schwartz
of Immenstadt Germany.
